Stinger's Update

Stinger is doing paw MUCH better.biggrin  He had a vet visit yesterday. For blood work. To see how his infection is doing.  (The blood work got over looked because of New issue) Stinger woke up with a very swollen right eye . Odd. Stinger must of bumped it or got bit by something. nice going. He planned it on a day that was fine by me. The vet said it looks okay. No major harm done to his eye. So Stinger been put on some eye ointment and cold compresses 3 x's a day till the swellen goes down. ( To which it did the very next day it went down 75 % )

As for the infection. The vet docis keeping him on his flagyl but he cut the does. Since Stinger has lost so much much weight in a short time. Plus he still had pooh issues. know the vet says he might have round worm. hmm Since Stingers heartguard med does not proptect him againt that. So.. The vet put him on a powder med that goes in plain yougart for 3 days.To help prevent/treat the the questionable confused roundworm.  Don't you just love the vets when they do that? evileye Plus the vet has put Stinger back on dry dog food. Iams low residue diet. That cost a pretty penny for a 35 lb bag. I bleh

So all in Stinger is doing very well.

YAY!!! Keep getting better Stinger! You need to get better for you Mom! Our kids are getting used to a new food, too. Seems our Royal Canin variety was recently added to the list, so now they are on Science Diet Adult Small Bites. One of the things that gets me is that it costs about half of what the RC did! If I had known that, they would have been on that since Christmas instead of the RC!

Our vet has me use the Panacur wormer for horses. It comes in a plunger tube and she says that it is more error safe than any other wormer out there. I just use about a 1/4 to a 1/2 a turn of the measure thing for Oreo.

Wendy,  I'm glad that Stinger is starting to feel better.  Doesn't it seem like when it rains, it pours?  Solve the issues one at a time and they will tire themselves out of issues all together.  I know it will be fun for Stinger to go on the walk tomorrow.  Hope all goes well and everybody has a good time.
