What does your Grey do when you leave?

I'm wondering what everyone does with their dogs when they have to leave the house?

We started by letting Cash hang out in the house and only closing the doors to the rooms he wasn't allowed in. That was fine for a while, then he started getting into things....the sugar bowl, tea bags, or anything else he could pull off the kitchen counters.

So then we started putting him in his kennel. He usually barks and whines, but today he actually tore his bedding to shreads!! We do leave a radio on for him to listen too and we are NEVER gone for more than 3 hours.

So, I'm curious and looking for suggestions! This boy has a MAJOR attachment to me, and I try to take him with me whenever I can....but they'd look at me strange if I tried to take him to the grocery store!!!

TIA!
Jennifer

I can relate to you. When I have to leave Stinger. Bu himself. He likes to get into the trash. So I have to make sure I get anything he get into out of his room.

Plus he whines for me when I leave. Which is normal for him. He just needs alot of running and play time to keep him out of trouble. This way he will be tired to get into anything.

I hope this help you.

Happy Holidays to you and your family.

My IG just curls up either in the chair or under the covers and sleeps unless there is food left where she can get to it. Then she gets into that and then acts innocent when I return. BTW, mine is a trash dog, too.
