Hot Spots on Greyhounds

I just found 2 hots spots on Stinger on on each side of his front shoulder blades. Thats odd. I never had this issue before. Does anyone have any good tips to get it to go away fast.

Right now I am using tee tree oil spray with aloe. Which is know to help this issues. But Stinger hates it. He runs away from me.   I don't know why odd.

Wendy,  Is he licking them?  Ryce had a problem two years ago and we tried everything the vet gave us.  The thing that finally worked was a spray bottle of Bitter Apple that we bought at the Pet Supermarket for about 8-10 dollars.  Cheap compared to what we had spent before.  Sprayed it on a couple of times a day and Ryce didnt mess with it.  Problem is with hot spots it can be a bacterial infection sometimes.  If it doesnt go away, have it vet checked.  The spray was made for the licking problem and specifically for pets.  Try that first.

Ok Stinger,  keep your tongue off of the ouwwweeee!  BTW hope your fourth was safe and fun.

Hi Leslie, Thank you for the 411 on hot spots. I will see if the apple one is any better. I know Stinger cant stand the tea tree oil one. But it looks like i t is working. I don not see any red spots he is just chewing on some new spots. Time to get the spary. It looks like I will cormer him. So I can spray it on him.
