Saturday night L'il Bullet was in an "snaggletooth" accident with his brother Murphy. The end result was a open gaping gash/hole of about 4 inches or so with blood running out......needless to say, he needed stitches. Off to the vet's we went, thankfully it is the new vet that we are now transferring to because someone from the practice is always available for emergencies. L'il Bullet had emergency surgery with both internal and external stitches, and got gassed. He fought the anesthesia, then didn't want to wake up from La La land, my husband and I stayed with him the entire time through the surgery. When we got him home, he didn't want to be left alone for hours. He finally crashed, and the next morning was his old chipper self. L'il Bullet's Momma

Thanks for the encouraging words. They are much appreciated. With both interior and exterior stitches, L'il Bullet is extra itchy, and the site happens to be in one of his favorite scratching spots. It has been really difficult just trying to keep him from scratching. I am trying so hard to make sure the that woundsite stays especially clean and if he is playing in the living room we are trying to put on t-shirts on him or sweat shirts to cover him. He doesn't always appreciate wearing them and half the time is trying to pull them off by the neck. I gave him a bit of Benadryl to try and settle him a bit and keep him from scratching because I sure didn't need the stitches coming out!! Thanks again for all the encouragement as it means so much to have friends to listen.
