Selling my house

Oh how I hate the process of selling a house!!!!!! I wish I could wake up tomorrow and it would all be done! My house has been on the market for almost 2 weeks and no bites yet. I really need to get it sold quickly, the mortgage is killing us. If anyone could spare some prayers I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!!

I know what you mean.  When we sold our house back east, it took quite a while before we even had someone look at it, then we went through the showings and the people looking at the house would come up with all sorts of reasons why they didn't want the house- "it's at the end of a dead end road", "I don't like the windows", "I don't like the lot". Stupid stuff!  We finally got got an offer and were advised that we should seriously consider it, so we did accept even though we still had to get $ to pay off on it.  Be prepared for the seemingly worst case senario.

Dont know how rhings are up in Maine but the real estate market in So. Fla has turned  crazy.  People selling their house for hugh amounts of money have thrown the market all to hell.  Now its so bad that middle class cant afford a home.  Building condos and wanting to build into the Everglades.  Hope things are quieter there than hear,  Just remember the goal.  Everthing happens in its own time.  Worry only about the things that you have control over.  Good Luck

I haven't had one person even ask for a showing! There are so many houses here on Cape Cod for sale! DH and I are thinking about pulling it off the market. The house needs some work so I'm sure that would detract any buyers. Nothing major, but right now we don't have any resources to do anything with. I wish I could find a buyer that was handy and just get the house sold. Sorry, just ranting!

Hi Tracey,

I wish you the best of luck with selling your house. I think it would be a good idea to fix up what needs to done and than put it back on the market.

good luck

That's what I would do.  That way, you can take all the time you need to get it really ready for sale.  You won't be rushed into doing something you don't really have all the money for.
