Leslie, we were all pooped by the time we got home! It was almost 11:00 that night so the pictures of the dogs with ribbons were taken the next morning. The loong ribbon on Oreo should have come out looking purple (since it is purple), but our digital camera has a habit of changing colors sometimes! Anyway, Morgan was really good, held her temper when she didn't do as well, and acted quite well.
PS- the picture of the two ribbons on the crate- the blue is Morgan's for her showmanship and the purple is mine for BOB (Best of Breed).
Really nice looking pictures of your houndies! I had no idea that you were showing Oreo! Looks like everything went very well. Congratulations! Your houndies are absolutely beautiful! Is that beautiful girl, your daughter? Whoever she is, she is very pretty.

The only reason I was showing Oreo was 1: I was able to since we hadn't had him fixed yet, and mostly because 2: daughter wanted to show our IG and I couldn't leave Oreo home alone (dad was away working) in his crate for about 8 hours or so! Actually, it was longer since we left home around one, two hours to get there, the show started at 4, was totally over by 8, we were packed up by 8:30, had supper at 11 on the way home and got home just about in time to greet the new day! Now that he's been fixed, I can't show him anymore . Morgan can still show since she's a junior and the junior can show spayed or fixed animals, but unless I get another that isn't fixed, I can't show anymore. This was our first "big" show! We showed at the county fair because we were part of the dog class for 4-H (I was doing the class with her to give her some encouragement). We didn't do very well at the county fair. Oreo was a jerk and the leader of the class for some reason had something against Morgan and I think that the judge was a friend of the leaders. We basically went up the the state fair as nothings and came out looking pretty good. In case you haven't already figured it out, yes, that is my daughter.
