What a bad boy!

Yesterday I had to go to the next town from us and pick up Morgan's GS sash that she left at Burger King on Saturday. I also had to stop at my father's house and pick up her GS fund raiser sheet. We've been leaving Oreo "penned" in the living room when we go away lately. No problems...............until yesterday! I came home to find golf tee's all over the floor, one of my horse riding catalogs shredded, and the throw that is on "my" chair on the floor and the chair spun around wrong way around. This morning I tried something new with him. Morgan put a muzzle (plastic basket type) on him, I put Neba in the kitchen like normal and took Morgan to school and go vote on the school building plan. I came back home, and was very calmly greeted by a large black dog who did not jump up on me or the front door and nothing had been destroyed. It was very nice.

What started all this behavior?  Was my God-dog doing this before?  Hope you can come up with a stratagy to get him around this.

Leslie, I don't know what started this behavior, but Bill says it's pay back for his little trip to the vet! He didn't do this before he went to the vet. The first thing he "ate" was part of a roll of wrapping paper that I never gave a second thought about and now he does it whenever he gets the chance when we are gone. Morgan didn't put away one of his muzzles yesterday and he found that and chewed on it so I had to try to melt the plastic to repair it. The little bugger!! This morning I put his "face cage" on him and took Morgan to school and ran an errand and when I came back, he was laying on his bed looking all innocent.

Oreo has been being a good boy lately. Of course, he goes in his crate! Don't suppose it helps any, does it??!!!LOL I can tell him to go get in his crate and he trots right out to it and gets in if the door is already open. If it's closed, he stands there looking at the door. I'm going to test him again this afternoon when I go to pick up Morgan from school and then let her turn in her Girl Scout cookie sheet.
