Oh, ok!! She is a Jack Russell/Pointer mix (so we were told), about 10 months old little girl. She goes to the vet on Wednesday for shots, check up and spay. She certainly has terrier in her! She loves to play and although she has had two accidents in the house (1 of each), I'm not putting full blame on her. She's in a new house, strange people and so forth. Her name was KiKi, but her new name is Josie. She is a cow dog with speckles in her white. She is quite the character. She is shorter in height than Neba and most of the time, her tail is wagging. She is going to be one tired pup tonight since she hasn't taken a nap yet!! We were told that she likes to sleep in her crate and I washed her blanket and pad like bed today for her. After the new year, Bill will take her with him. Right now comes the finishing of housetraining and getting her somewhat settled in. Anything else?!
Best of all, she was a freebie! She also brought her nice 2 door crate, pad, blankie (a really thick, heavy one), a retractable leash, a half bag of cookies, and a big bag of chew sticks as well as a collar and a jacket that won't fit her too much longer. A friend of ours has offered to buy the coat from us when I get her a new one. I'm thinking maybe I will make her one. Cant' wait to see how big she is and how she's doing tomorrow at her check up. Oh! And she loves to go for rides in the car, although she needs to learn how to just lay down on the seat and be good.
Ok Leslie!! I'll be around. Morgan has a long day, too. Correction- Morgan has a short day. Early out! Still doesn't matter!!
UPDATE on Josie- she is a healthy 14.1 pound pup with some fleas (no suprise there!!). They are going to do her nails and shots while she's out cold for surgery (spay). The vet says there is no way there is pointer in her, she's too small, although she does look a little like the pointer they have out back in the kennels. The vet says that she is all terrier of varying breeds.
She's doing just fine. She does stairs like she was born on stairs, is doing well with pottying outside, has learned her name I think, haas learned to stay out of Oreo's way when I let him out of his crate, and sometimes plays with Neba. Neba was so happy to see her this morning that she tried to get Josie to play with her, but of course, Josie didn't want to. I think Neba kinda likes having someone closer to her size to play with (J. is a little smaller than N.). Oreo plays a little ruff yet.
Ok, everyone plays with everyone else now. At night, I put Josie in Morgan's room and close the door. Morgan knows that she is responsible for making sure that Josie gets let out when needed and she is able to go all night without going out after about 8:30. First thing Morgan does in the morning is let Josie out, then take herself to the bathroom, then let Josie in. Morgan is going to be upset when Josie leaves, but I told her that she could take care of Oreo and she said "NO!". Oh well, sigh. We'll get it figured out. She told me today that she wants to get rid of Oreo so we can get another small dog for her. What??!!! Sorry kid!!
