Of course she will be ok! She has a blanket to curl up in while she is there, too! Since IG's can have some eye problems starting at around age 5 and she is 6, I thought it would be a good idea just to have them checked. Sometimes, we can walk up along side of her from behind and she's good, and other times, she gets startled and growls. Always best to keep track of those almost senior eyes!

Oh dear Neba,

Ise gwad dat youse okay, but sorry dat dere's sumfing wrong. Do you gotta gets des drops of oinkment ebery day all da time?? Does da sun bodder your eyes? I was wunndering about dis. Momma keeps us out of da sun, espechully direkt sunlight cuz she bees worried about sunburn and pannus. And she is always worried dat I will get heatstroke cuz I fall asleep outside in da sun and she has to cum look for me.

I knows dat you are still probably worked up from being at da bet but at weast you didn't get gassed and hab to take a nappy. It's all good and everyfing is rite as rain.

Is sounds liks youse needs to be karful where youse step. Ise missed a step a kupl of months ago on da porch and fell off sideways onto Momma's chrysanthanemums dat were in pots and squished dem. I also banged up da insides of my wegs pretty good. Momma piked me up and righted me and gots me straighted out. Den she brought me in da house and cleaned up da ouchies Ise gab myself. Dey are da only ouchies dat Ise ever had. Daddy laughs cause all da time dat I raced for five years, I never got bited or scratched. And den dis happens. L'il Bullet gots war wounds from me and Pookie came wif some scars from da track and den I gab her a "welkum to da neighborhood" mark when we were playing outside. But like Dad said, it seems, like nofin really happens to me. I's just rweally lucky. Well, "cept for dis morning, when I wasn't minding my own business and got hit in da heiney wif da bak door cause Momma was bringing me in, and I was too worried about what da mailwady was doing. Dat neber happens to me!!

Ise hops dat your Morgan gets bedder real soon. Maybe she shuld drink sum orange juice. Dat may helps her feel bedder. Momma went to da hospital to see da anafesa nursie and sign consent forms. But da dates dey hab given for da surgery are almost a monff off. We cantse unnerstand why da doktors here are so backed up. Den to add insult to injury, she is habin lots of trublz wif her car. She is going to take it bak to da dealer in a day or so.

Roo dere Neba,

Sorry dat Ise bin slow to answer your tic tac. Momma has been under da webber and not slept fru da nite for at weast a monff. It is terribl. Dat pain from her knee and her arm keeps waking her ups. She ends up habing to takin somefin else for it, and also has to change da dressin during da middle of da nite again, too. It gets itchy so she washes da whole fing and den cleans it up and puts on a new dressing. She just aintse comfortable. And she bees concerned dat new cysts are starting to form towards da end of da incision line again, so she is rweally upset. The heat and stress just keep making fings worse for her. We dontse know how to helps her to rewax. Wif da problems from da car, and den not knowing yet about da surjery date which is messed up still, and den Daddy cantse helps her much wif getting da car fixed, she is rweal frustrated. Her eyes gets full of water. I just sit dere wif her Neba and lets her pat my head. Cuz I dontse know how else to helps her. We dontse have fabily here or friends here to helps us out. So Momma is trying to figger out how to manage dis problem on her own. She is gonna call da dealer bak again in about an hour after she showers and gets her compozur. She is real mad dat she spended dat $175 for dat transmission oil change and it didn't fix nofin last monff. I fink dat if she culd shake da libin daylites out of da serbis manajer she wuld. Dat rest of us houndies wants to go pee on his foot.
I am not surprised dat you acted good at da bets. You are a berry specshul girlhoundie and are always nice and good wheneber you can bees. You only growl when you gets skared at da bets and fink youse gonna get hurted. And Ise don't blame youse for doin dat. Momma brings our muzzles wif us to da bets most all of da time when we habs to get shots or examined just in case so we dontse bits da bets. Sometimes we dontse need da muzzles, but den udder times, it is bedder dat we hab den on, or dere wuld be nufin weft of da bet after he gibs us a shot. We all habs big toofies. We dontse mean no harm, we just dontse like gettin poked.
Ise imagine youse must be gettin eggcited about youse Daddy cuming home for da weekend. Maybe you can makes him sum different colored jello-like lime and strawberry. And some good broff-beef and chicken. Dat is berry manly. He will most likely be berry hungry. You will hab to freeze one of Morgan's birfday cupcakes for him so he gets one on his next bisit home. Dat way, he can pardicipate. I'd bet he'd like dat, too. I know dat he wants to be home wif all of youse, just as much. It's just dat his work takes him away to earn dat biskie money. Momma will sendz da leftober kuponz so dats youse Momma cans use dem for youse. She buys most of our canned toppers stuff from Wally World. Dey are about $2.00 cheaper a box den da supermarkit. She rweally watches when she shops. And she started buying our dry food at da Trakdor Supply store. Dey had a rweal good spechul-52 lbs for $17.00. All of us now eats da same fing and Momma will make a meatloaf for us. She will send youse Momma da recipe just in case youse Momma gets a wild hare and decide to make youse, Oweo, and Josie a meatloaf for a topper too. It usually lasts all week. It's berry good. It ackshully works out to be cheeper dan canned food and is bedder for us, anyroo. And Momma said she wuld also get da recipe for homemade cookies--dey are rweal soft ones and I fink youse gonna likes dem too.
Momma is still waitin for da sebicman manager to call again when he has a woaner car so she can bring in her car. He finks he shuld hab one by some time tomorrow. Dey fink know dat one of dem computer parts is broken on Momma's car--it may be a frottle sensor. It aintse completely busted cuz da danjer lite aintse come on yet, just enuf of a nuisanz to drib Momma crazee. Dey said when it completely breaks dat da hole car will lurch all ober so Ise knots know how she is sposed to dribe 30 miles in it bak to da dealer. Dey certainly aintse too swift.
It soundz like youse Daddy is mobin up if he is gettin a new truck. I hope it will be a good fing for him. Me and Buwwit spechully likes trucks. I know dat your Dad will miss Josie dis time, do.
Momma has been doing sum correspondinz and sendin out sum cardz to friends dats lost dere houndiez. Dere was a sad story of one of our friends dat we saw at Sandy Paws dat had 3 houndies and one of dem attaked da udder one. Da fabily had a liddl girl and dey had to put da wild houndie down and sended him to da bridge cuz he gots sik in his head and wents crazy. It was sad, cuz when wese knews him at Sandy Paws he was such a nice and sweet houndie. But he hurt his houndie brudder berry badly. It was such a sad story, and we are still waitin to see if da houndie brudder will hab da full use of his leggie. We not liks it when such sad fings happen to ourse friends. And we'se also sended a card to Auntie Leslie as well. Sometimes if we can do just sumfing small to make fings a liddl brider for our friends, it makes it all a liddle bedder.

Is good dat youse Daddy is gettin a "nused" truck. Dat's a rweal good fing for him. And Ise sure dat Josie will be happy to bees spoiled by Morgan dis time at home. So it will all work out. Momma aintse heard bak from da garage--dat man said dey hab 10 woaner cars and as soon as one comes in, she bees furst in line. I hope he is not lyin to hers. Cuz she will eats him for breakfast. You dontse mess wif Momma when her kar aintse workin rite. It aintse a good fing. If da man tries dat, he surely aintse too brite. He will be a few sandwiches short of a piknik baskit. Momma is hopin to hear from da serbisman tomorrow and get da kar dere before it breaks down. Daddy aintse much helps gettin her dere to gets it fixed. Den she bees stuck out here wif no wheels. Wese a long ways from da city. Da next cwosest dealer is 3 hours from us. Momma says she aintse neber buying no more imports cuz we libs in such a rural area nobody can fix dem. : ( Dat car is da only means dat she has to gets to da outside world. ^^

Momma has been afder me to behab as well cuz Ise been caught swipin my brudder and sissie's bones. Last nite I took Pookie's bone from her mouff. She just sat and looked at me. Momma couldn't belieb dat I did dat, and Buwwitt barked at me for it. Den Momma came ober and took da bone from my mouff!! Den she shook her finger at me and told me, No, No, Murphy. I fot dat I was supposed to be Alpha, but I guess dat Momma is Alpha. She said dat nobody is gonna be doing dat stuff on her watch or dere be no bonz at all. Ye, Gads!! I just wanted a bone dat had been worked on already!! Pookie has changed so much and don't show her toofies at Buwwitt and mees no more. She just sits all quiet wif Momma and den Momma takes kar of fings. I guess dat she figgered out how to maks it work for her. Dere aintse no pekking order here at all. Momma's said dat everybody's is eben, whateber dat means. I just know dat I am more senior, and I fink I should gets my way, but it aintse workin. We alls get da same amount of eberyfing, and we alls get lubbed up. So I guess dat it shouldn't matter. Me and Pookie are "reruns" cuz we are bouncebaks. I gots bounced 2 times before I gots here, and Pookie gots bounced one time. Momma and Daddy still can't figger out why, but dey always say it wuz da peoplez loss and we is happy where we are. Buwwitt is da only one da has had just one Momma and Daddy--and he tells us he gots here da day before me and shared da Momma and Daddy wif us. : ) He is a rweal crazy pupper but rader sweet.

We houndiez gots our own Christmas tree and Daddy is not supposed to touch it. Ise gonna ask Momma if she can find pitchurs of it. Buwwitt just lubs dat tree. In da winter, Daddy makes a fire in a fireplace and it's warm and cozy in da libing room. Buwwitt liks to walk around wif da kindling wood in his mouff. It dribs Daddy crazy. He is still learning to keep da fire lit. Sometimes da smoke goes backwards into da libing room.

You finks I wants to share sum of dem kissies, hugs, and smooshes?? I dontse finks so!! Ha ha. But I did gibs Momma a kupla of liks of myse own dis morning. Her knee is rweally akin today. She gots to waits and finds out about dat surjery date cuz maybe if she is wucky dey will mob it a week. If not, she will hab to wait until almost da end of September for da operashun. Dey gab her a preskripshun for pain but it dontse work and it is like eatin chalk.

I bet dat Oweo is gwad dat he wuz adopted by youse fabily. Most of us were reskued egcept for Buwwitt and Comit. And Comit is rweally gettin old, now ober 17 years old and coufin much more, and Momma says she probably needs to take him bak to da bets, but knowz dat da bets will probably say he may needz to go to da bridge so she keepz puttin it off. Dere r sum fings she just doesn't feel up to doin' rite now, and dat is one of dem, cuz dere is a problem wif minishur poodlez and his trachea is kollapsed and dat is why he koffs, but it is worse den before. And he gots bad kadarakz and runs into his crate, and gots some Alzenheimers and stares into space outside sometimes. Well, inside too at times. He's just berry old and wearing out. But den, he does run all ober da place in da yard, and dribs Buwwitt crazy. And den Buwwitt tries to pounce on him, and dat pulls Daddy, and den Daddy hollers, and Buwwitt says, "well, Daddy, Ise cantse helpse myself, Ise got prey dribe". Well, dere rweally is a story behind dat anyroo, cuz da first day dat Buwwitt was here, Comet walked up to him, and peed on his head. So, of course, you can imagine, dat was instant dislike and a deaf wish, if youse know what I mean. And da rest, is what da say, history. Buwwitt kept growing, and grabbed onto Comitt's tail and slid on da ceramak floor in da kitchen and Comit skreeched like a cat. It rweally is pretty funny is greyt entertainment.

Wese do dekorate for da holidays and gots punkins for da porch for howloween. I fink dat Daddy will hab to get some colored lites and tinsel dis year. Last year we had scarecrows and such and dey looked rweal good. And we hab lots of colorful flags as well dat gets changed for da holidays, too. And da door gets different wreafs as well. I fink dat Daddy is gonna be plantin sum of da tree seedlings from da backyard to da front dis weekend. One of da pekan's didn't take so he pulled it out, and we's gonna put in a maple seedling cuz Momma gots lots of dem. And da dogwood didn't take eider, probably cuz of da drought and it wuz just too sensitibe. Momma probably gonna gets some more bulbs for da fall and chrystanthemums but I won't squish dem dis time.

Well, I'se got to go lay down. All dis typin wif my paws makes me a tired houndie, and Ise aintse as agile as Ise used to be. I am still running in da ebenings and Daddy says I am crazy and oberdoing it, but Ise got da reputation to maintain. (being an ex-racer and all) cuz I did race da full 5 years and didn't get nary a scratch on me!

She bin buzy cuz she dropped her car off to gets fixed and den gots a loaner. It was a brand new car wif barely a 100 miles on its. Daddy took her to Magnolia State Park today and den dey stopped at Traktor Supply on da way bak for dog food. She wuz looking at dem Bryer horsies and also some udder horsie fings. She hab bins real buzy lately. And also she hab bin limping on her leg. Dey moved her surgery to da 14th of Sept. But she is habin more trublez wif dem cysts and is gettin more of dem bak in da incision line and she aintse happy.

Good grief, Ise aintse eber seen nufin liks her. She is a rweal go getter. As youse knows, Ise purty shy, and she gibs me room for paws. Dey maks a berry wunnerful lookin contrastin kupl wif her being all bwack and Buwwitt, being all white wif dem red brindle splotches around his eyes. Anyroo, Ise gots kuncerns ubs my own.

And da answer to youse udder queshun, Momma is supposed to be ables to kum home da same day from her surjery, as long as eberyfing goes okay. Da orfopedik surjen doktor dontse know how eggstensib da damaj is inside ub Momma's knee cuz dat MRI dontse show eberyfing. Daddy skejuled off work fru da following Wednesday and depending on how fings go may hab to take more time off if she cantse get around. We knots know what's gonna happen. Momma is gonna try and gets all da groshery shopping, laundry, and bills done before she goes for dat surjery. And she will sendz youse Momma our phone number cuz she aintse sure if she will be able to gets on da computer since it will be upstairs.
