It's me, Murphy and I've been wif Momma since she had dat surjery last Friday. I've really missed tic tac wif my friends, and specially, sweet Neba. Momma has had some really bad days and nights wif her knee, and she is kind of wishing dat maybe it wasn't such a good idea, after all. But she didn't have any udder choices, eider. Dem cortisone shots weren't helping her eider. Den after she got home, she debeloped a really bad betadine allergy burn on her leg and da back and sides of her knee. All dat bandaging was soaked up in dat betadine and it made her awful sick. She gots terrible blisters on her skin. Dat doktor isn't coming bak to town until da end of dis week. She can dribs a liddle and walks part of da time wif da cane. Da ground in da yard is rweally lopsided so wese gots to be carful she don't fall. She has been walking Pookie outside da last few days. Ise hopin to hear bak frum my friends cuz it's bin rweally lonely wifout youse. I hab been watching for goffers at da club akross da way. Dey ride in dem buggy carts so youse gots to be carful cuz sumtimes da use da blaktop road. Dey bees rweally dum goffers! Momma and Daddy worked wif each of us yesterday and Daddy took sum pitchurs. He's gots to get dem ready for Momma to post. Bullet and Pookie love to run and pway together. And afterwards, Daddy turned on da garden hose and let dem pway, and den spritzed dem, misted dem, and Bullet showed Pookie how to drink from da hose! Momma is gonna try and get a pitchur of dat! Pookie rweally liked learning dat trik from Bullet. Neba, Ise hopin' dat youse been doing well and staying kewl. I hab bin finking of youse an awful lot and missing you berry much. Lubs, Murphy

Murphy, We have been missing you too! I knew that you were helping your mom get around, so I wasn't too worried! You and Bullet and Pookie are great fur kids to help your mom like you do! Tell your mom I'll be sending her a little something in the mail! None of the fur kids here like the hose! They all run away from it. We are staying cool. It's in the low 70's right now at just after 9:00 and the rest of the week it's only supposed to be in the 70's during the day and in the 40's and 50's at night. I need to start working on figuring out how I am going to decorate the yard this year for Halloween. Next week it will be time to start putting out the decorations! Then will come Christmas already! Yikes! Take down one set of lights and put up another set! Oh well. I also have to replace all of the bulbs from my electric Christmas candles to put into the different styled ones I got at an auction a couple of weeks ago. I have enough of the "new" ones to put in all of the windows downstairs and will have to use only 4 of the old ones for the upstairs. Saturday Morgan and I went yard saleing and I brought home a green glass oil lamp. I paid $5 for it. I took it up to my father to look at yesterday and he said that he thinks it may very well be a "real" oil lamp, not one of those newer "Made in China" lamps that you often see on the store shelves now. I can't find anything about it on the computer, but if it is old, then it was worth $5! I should get off of here and go get some breakfast and make sure that Morgan is doing what she is supposed to be doing.

Roo dere Aunt Michaela, Wow!! Ise so reliebed that you are alls okay. Us houndies habe been trying to make mile smile eben do she is not feelin well. Your story about your find at dat your sale, sounds like you found a real treasure. Maybe it is something you will see on da Antiques Roadshow. That is quite interesting and entertaining show. Momma and Daddy saw a big line for dat show when dey libs in Merryland. Dey were in Baltimore and in da city dere were so many people wif all dere spechil fings dat da line when around dat building and down da story a good bit. Maybe you should like in one of dem hobby collecting books to see if dey habs any glass oil lamps shown that could be similiar to what youse found. How berry eggcitin' ! Youse are all too kind to continue to send dem get well wishies for myse Momma. She gets tired and berry lonesome. Dez problems wif her knee really makes her upset cuz she feels dat her progress is real slow. Dat surjeon did not gibs her da informashun dat dis was going to be so difficult. We will continue to show hers dat we lubs her in every way dat we can. Please give sweet Neba a gentle hug for me, and air snaps and hi-5's to Oreo and Josie. Dear Murphy, Of course we are all ok. We just keep going! Today Morgan doesn't have school. Something about "Professional Development" day. I say it's teacher goof off day! Maybe I will have to write into that Antiques Roadshow program and see what they think. It would be neat if it was an old lamp that was worth something. I don't normally go looking for lamps, but this one sort of stuck out since it is green. Your Uncle Bill says that I should go to the library to see if they have a book about them. Of course we think of your mom! You pups, too. You are doing good to help her out like you are. I am going to go through my box and bag of cards to find one to send to your mom. That's not right that she didn't have all the information about how long this will take. Hmmph!! Neba sends a hug back to you. Oreo went for a run today at the lake near us on the ball field. He didn't do an awful lot of running, but had fun anyway. Morgan is doing ok in school. She brought home her mid term report and has one incomplete in one class and then the rest of her classes are spread between a B- and an A+. Uncle Bill is coming home this weekend.
